Hey there, fellow adventure seekers! Buckle up and get ready for a wild ride because I’m about to spill the beans on my Safari Niagara experience. Get ready for the stunning sights, and a whole lot of animal encounters!
I visited the safari with my three kids, aged 7, 5, and 3. This place stays open until 6pm, unlike most safaris in Ontario that close earlier. It’s absolutely perfect if you want to take a half-day off from work to embark on an adventure with the kids.
Let me start by saying that this place is perfect for families with young children. It’s stroller and wagon friendly, so I highly recommend bringing one along because there’s quite a bit of walking involved. You can even rent a wagon at the entrance for 10 CAD, which is super convenient.
Now, here’s the scoop: although it’s called a Niagara Safari, it’s more like a zoo. The animals are housed in cages, and you walk around to see them. They do have a tram that takes you to a few spots for free, but you’ll need to get out and walk to see the animals. So, it’s not exactly a classic safari experience, but hey, we still had a fantastic time exploring the different animals amidst the lush greenery. There’s quite a variety to see, from fascinating animals to beautiful birds. Plus, it’s an excellent opportunity to get your steps in for the day. Oh, and don’t forget to pack some snacks for the kids—they’ll appreciate it! On the other hand, if you feel like grabbing a bite to eat, you’ll find a few restaurants conveniently located within the vicinity.
One highlight for the kids was feeding the giraffes. It costs 5 CAD per person, but it’s totally worth it. I heard you can also feed the hippopotamus, but we didn’t get a chance to do that. There’s also a farm where you can feed the goats and watch the chickens roam around freely. The kids absolutely loved it!
Now, let’s talk about the splash pad—oh boy, the kids went wild over there! It was a perfect way to cool down in the summer heat. I suggest having your little ones wear their swimwear under their clothes so they can jump right in and have a splashing good time.
And guess what? There’s a large kids park too! We didn’t have enough time to explore everything, but they have shows and behind-the-scenes experiences that sound amazing. You could easily spend an entire day there. We only had three hours, but we made the most of it.
So, fellow adventurers, remember that this experience isn’t just about the thrill—it’s an opportunity to connect with nature, appreciate the animal kingdom, and create lasting memories. Take a moment to pause, breathe in the fresh air, and let the beauty of Niagara’s wildlife surround you. It’s a humbling and awe-inspiring experience that reminds us of the importance of conservation and preserving our natural world.
Get ready for an adventure like no other at the Niagara Safari. It’s time to make some unforgettable memories with your loved ones. Enjoy every moment, embrace the wonder, and let the wild side of Niagara capture your heart!
