Tis the season for hanging pots, adorning front yards and backyards with their vibrant colors and diverse array of flowers. Being a novice in the realm of gardening, having grown up in a desert, I purchased two of these delightful pots from Costco to enhance my backyard’s beauty. Little did I know about the care required for these green wonders.
While waiting at the checkout, a fellow shopper inquired about the plant in my cart, to which I confessed my ignorance and my intention to Google how to care for them. She mentioned her husband’s use of a product called Miracle-Gro, claiming it worked wonders in nourishing plants and making them flourish. Inspired by her words, I eagerly adorned my backyard with these hanging pots, only to be disheartened the following morning when one of them wilted entirely.
Recalling the lady’s advice, I swiftly ordered Miracle-Gro from Amazon, anxiously awaiting its arrival. Sleep eluded me as I fretted over my wilting flower pot. When the package finally arrived, I took two crucial steps that miraculously resurrected my potted plant, which now thrives in my backyard. Here are the two tips that revived my flowers:
- Miracle-Gro: This remarkable product contains all the essential nutrients for plants, conveniently packaged as a powder sachet. Empty it into your watering can before you water your plants. It is recommended to use Miracle-Gro once a week or every two weeks.
2. Hydration is key: Hanging pots require ample water to thrive. Wondering how much water is sufficient? Water them until it begins to drip from the bottom of the pot. During my rescue mission, I had to pour nearly 3 liters of water into my hanging pot to achieve this level of saturation. Evidently, I had been under-watering my plants.
By following these two straightforward steps, you too can breathe life back into drooping hanging pots and witness their resplendent revival.
