With three young children, it’s easy to imagine how quickly our house can become messy. While I do my best to tidy up every day, I put in extra effort before the cleaners arrive. I dread the thought of them seeing how we truly live. However, I must confess that this cleaning routine can be overwhelming for both me and my family.
Here is my list of things I do before the cleaners arrive.
- The night before the cleaners arrive, I vacuum the house.
2. Take out all the trash prior to their arrival.
3. Ensure that the kitchen sinks are clean.
4. Clean the bathroom counter and toilet seats.
5. Pick up and organize any misplaced items such as toys, clothes, paper, books, and shoes.
6. Wipe down the kitchen counter and dining table.
7. Clean the stove and the walls around it.
8. Clean the inside of the microwave oven.
9. Clean the surfaces of the fridge, dishwasher, and oven.
10. Make the beds.
11. Create a pleasant scent in the house, either by burning a candle, opening a window, or boiling lemons.
12. Declutter the kitchen counter by putting things like drying rack, toaster and blender away
Do you do any of these tasks before the cleaners come, or do you have a different approach? I am curious to know.
